Visiting Guidelines

Updated Jan 15, 2024

Welcome to Southern California Hospital at Hollywood, where the health and safety of our patients, families, and staff are our top priority.

  • Visitation hours are daily from 8 a.m.-8 p.m.

Visitor Guidelines

We continue to evaluate local, state, and federal COVID-19 requirements and recommendations to allow more people to safely visit their loved ones while receiving care. The hospital reserves the right to deny general visitation and overnight stays to ensure the health and safety of all patients, visitors, and staff.

Due to the rising number of COVID cases in Los Angeles County, universal masking is required in all patient care areas.

    • Only 2 visitors allowed per room at a time for non-COVID patients
    • Visitors under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult
    • No visitors allowed for patients in Urgent Care. Patients under the age of 18 in the Urgent Care may be accompanied by 1 parent or guardian
      • Overnight stays are limited and must be approved by the House Supervisor

COVID Visitor Guidelines for Suspecet or Confirmed COVID Patients

Only 1 (healthy) visitor is allowed for maximum of 2 hours at a time

All approved visitors must:

  1. Check-in at the main hospital front desk, complete the visitor log, and obtain a visitors’ pass
  2. Wear a hospital approved face mask (surgical mask) covering your nose and mouth at all times
  3. Follow physical distancing practice to reduce COVID transmission at all times.

Please note: If you are experiencing flu-like symptoms or COVID-19 symptoms, we encourage you to stay home and postpone your visit

Don't Put Your Health on Hold

Your hospitals, doctors and other healthcare providers have implemented extra safety precautions to ensure you remain safe while seeking vital medical care. Don't delay your medical care any longer, especially for chronic conditions (see "Your Safety and Well-being are our No. 1 Priority") below.

Follow these 4 tips:

  1. Don’t Distance from your Doctor
  2. Don’t Skip your Screenings
  3. Don’t Delay Emergency Care
  4. It’s Safe to Get Care

Your Safety and Well-Being is Our Top Priority

Following state and federal guidelines—as well as our own rigorous processes and clinical standards—we have remained committed to creating the safest possible environment for you and our staff.

To balance care with caution, our enhanced measures include:

    • Pre-procedure screening for all surgery patients
    • Social distancing policies for staff and patients
    • Adequate supply of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), ventilators, medications, and other medical supplies
    • Daily terminal cleaning of the operating rooms to include the use of vaporizing aerial hydrogen peroxide technology for additional disinfection
    • Separate inpatient and outpatient admitting areas, entrances and exits to prevent any potential exposure
